CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Sophomore left fielder
Chris Snopek hit his first career home run, but Harvard University baseball fell to the No. 24 University of Miami in game two, 2-1, on Saturday night at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.
Continuing its season-opening series and coming off an 11-6 victory over Miami in game one, the Crimson (1-1) tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth on Snopek's homer before the host Hurricanes (6-1) scored a run in the bottom of the fifth and held on for the victory.

Sean Matson tossed 4.0 innings of relief, permitting just one run on two hits with six strikeouts.
After Miami scored the game's opening run in the bottom of the first, the Crimson knotted the game in the top of the fourth as Snopek led off the inning with a solo home run to left field. The Hurricanes went back ahead in the last of the fifth with an RBI double to right field. Harvard threatened in the top of the sixth, loading the bases before the Hurricanes escaped the jam.
