Season Preview: Cross Country Sets Sights on Regional Standings
The Crimson looks to challenge for Ivy League and regional
titles in 2010 (Harvard Cross Country).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard men's and women's cross country teams are both ranked within the regional top-10, and look to improve upon that standing throughout a challenging 2010 schedule.
After week one of the NCAA cross country schedule, the Harvard men find themselves ranked ninth regionally, while the women stand in fourth as the top-seeded Ivy League team in the poll. Harvard kicks off its 2010 campaign Sept. 18 as it travels to New York to compete in the Iona Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park. Last year, the women placed second at the Ivy Championship while the men took sixth. Harvard also sent three representatives to the 2009 NCAA Cross Country National Championships.
In the video below, director of Harvard track and field/cross country Jason Saretsky previews the upcoming cross country season.
