Women’s Water Polo Celebrates 2018 Season at Banquet

CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's water polo team took the opportunity to celebrate its 2018 season last week at its annual year-end banquet, held this year at the Harvard Club of Boston.

The team took the opportunity to recognize the significant contributions to the program from senior co-captains Cleo Harrington and Sami Strutner.

Additionally, the team handed out its annual awards. Harrington earned MVP honors after leading the Crimson with 213 saves. Harrington also swiped 21 steals and had 12 assists in 2018.

The Coaches' Award went to junior Kristen Hong. Hong was tabbed to the All-CWPA Division I second team for the second consecutive year after she led the team with 71 goals. She added 40 assists and 40 steals.

Freshman Jilly Cronin garnered Most Improved honors. The River Forest, Illinois native scored 10 goals, dished four assists and made eight steals during her rookie campaign.

Classmate Olivia Price was also recognized as the Rookie of the Year. The Lafayette, California native racked up 42 goals, had 24 steals and assists and made four blocks.
