BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Junior Cleo Harrington and senior Michelle Martinelli have been selected to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches 2017 Women's Division I All-America Team as honorable mention choices, the ACWPC announced this week.
Harrington, a standout in goal, is making her second-straight appearance on the All-America squad. The Crimson Team MVP for the second year in a row as well, Harrington led the defensive efforts throughout the year, notching 172 saves to go along with 21 assists and 19 steals.
Martinelli adds the All-America accolade to her CWPA all-conference and all-tournament team selections. She finished the season second on the team with 46 tallies, as well as 23 assists and steals. She played in every game this season and scored multiple goals in 12 contests, including two five-score performances. She also served as co-captain, leading Harvard to a fourth-place conference championship finish, its highest since 2000.
