– The Collegiate Water Polo Association announced today that No. 20 Harvard women's water polo freshman Sofia Carrera-Justiz was named CWPA Rookie of the Week for her performances from March 6-12.

Carrera-Justiz had a big weekend as Harvard opened its road trip on the West Coast with three contests a week ago. Carrera-Justiz totaled seven goals, four assists, three steals and a field block over the three-game stretch, including hat tricks in back-to-back games, while notching at least a score in all three.

The freshman standout collected three scores and three assists in Harvard's win over Sonoma St., matching her career high in both categories. She then followed that up with another trio of goals in a loss to UC Davis.

Carrera-Justiz leads the Crimson with 17 assists this season, while also ranking second in goals with 23. She has scored in 12 of her 15 career matches and has seven multi-goal outings in her rookie campaign.

Harvard women's water polo returns to action tonight at No. 10 San Jose St. with a contest at 9 p.m. EST.
