Junior Cleo Harrington has been named the Defensive Player of the Week six times in her career (Gil Talbot).
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Collegiate Water Polo Association announced today that junior Cleo Harrington has been named the Defensive Player of the Week after helping lead the Crimson to a 3-0 weekend at the Bison Invite.
Harrington totaled 19 saves in two games of action, including a season-high 15 stops in a 5-4 win over No. 19 Wagner. The double-digit save performance was Harrington's first of the season. She also posted four stops in a victory over Gannon while splitting duties in net.
The award marked Harrington's sixth Defensive Player of the Week award during her career at Harvard. Harrington received the honors four times during her sophomore campaign, and once during her rookie season.
Harvard women's water polo returns to action for a road contest against Princeton on Saturday, Feb. 25. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
