Women’s Water Polo Posts Top-10 GPA, 10 Individuals Earn ACWPC All-Academic Awards

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPA) announced its honorees for the 2016 Women's All-Academic Awards this week with 10 individual earning the honor and the team posting the ninth-best GPA in the country.

As a team, the Crimson posted a 3.404 GPA, which was the second-highest in the Ivy League behind only Brown's 3.41.

The ACWPA breaks its recipients of All-Academic down into three categories. Outstanding award winners have GPAs between 3.71 – 4.0, Superior is between 3.41-3.70 and Excellent is 3.20 – 3.40.

Eela Nagaraj collected her third-straight Outstanding honor, with Rachel Lobato joining her after earning Superior recognition a season ago. Seven student-athletes received Superior honors with Hollis Jomo, Michelle Martinelli, Melissa Balding, Zoe Osborne and Sami Strutner being named to the squad for the second consecutive year. Cleo Harrington also earned Superior honors a season after being tabbed Excellent. Freshman Kristen Hong picked up Excellent accolades this season.
