CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Twelve (12) members of the Harvard women's water polo team were named to ACWPC Women's All-Academic Teams for the 2015 season, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced recently. The Crimson also was ranked third among all teams with an impressive 3.49 team grade-point average.
The Crimson had two "Outstanding" selections, nine "Superior" recipients and one "Excellent" selections among the more than 300 student-athletes honored.
Both Eela Nagaraj and Kalina Grabb were named "Outstanding" scholar-athletes for having grade point averages about 3.71. Nagaraj earned the distinction for the second year in a row. Grabb -- now a four-time All-Academic selection -- picked up the Outstanding mark for the first time.
The "Superior" selections, who had GPAs between 3.41-3.70 include Rachel Lobato, Alexis Del Toro, Hollis Jomo, Michelle Martinelli, Melissa Balding, Ariel Dukes, Victoria Frager, Zoe Osborne and Sami Strutner, while Cleo Harrington earned "Excellent" honors for finishing with grade-point average between 3.20-3.40.
