CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 1 USC and No. 2 Stanford will square off tomorrow in the 2013 NCAA Women's Water Polo National Championship game at Harvard's Blodgett Pool at 5:15 p.m.
The top-ranked Trojans reached the finals by knocking off No. 8 Pomona-Pitzer, 27-1, in the quarterfinals and No. 4 Hawaii, 16-9, in the semifinals, while the two-time defending national champion Cardinal defeated Iona, 20-3, in its opener before edging UCLA, 5-3, to reach the title tilt.
Tomorrow afternoon's games will begin with the seven-place contest between Pomona-Pitzer and No. 7 Iona at noon. No. 5 UC San Diego will then take on No. 6 Princeton in the fifth-place game at 1:45 p.m. before Hawaii faces UCLA at 3:30 p.m. in the third-place game.
Tickets are still available for tomorrow's games. Fans can purchase tickets at the entrance of Blodgett Pool and gates will open at 11 a.m.
