Shayna Price earned the Crimson's sixth CWPA weekly award of 2013 (Justine Agaloos).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Shayna Price has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division Co-Player of the Week for March 19, the CWPA announced Wednesday.
Price helped lift Harvard to a pair of victories to begin the team's annual California trip to share the award with George Washington's Rachel Bentley. The Hawaii native tallied seven goals, two assists and two steals to help the Crimson get off to its best start since 2000 and extend the team's winning streak to seven straight.
In the opener against Santa Clara, she netted four goals, including two in the first 1:03 of the fourth quarter to give Harvard the lead for good, two steals and one assist. She followed up her performance with three goals and an assist against Division III No. 5 Occidental.
The award is Price's first CWPA weekly honor of the season and fourth of her career, previously winning the player of the week award once and the defensive player of the week nod twice.
Overall, the Crimson has won six CWPA weekly awards this season, including three player of the week recipients.
On the year, Price has 32 goals, 13 assists and 22 steals.
