PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Harvard women's water polo team dropped a CWPA Eastern Championship tournament match to No. 12 Indiana, 7-5, Saturday afternoon. Devan Kennifer and Monica Zdrojewski score two goals apiece to keep the Crimson in the match.

Harvard fell behind 5-1 early in the match, as Zdrojewski was the only Crimson player to score in the first 14 minutes of the contest. The senior scored at the 3:57 mark of the first quarter.

Needing a quick run to get back in the game, Harvard scored a pair of goals in the final 1:36 of the half to get within two. Zdrojewski found the back of the cage with 1:36 left in the second stanza, before Victoria Frager scored 17 seconds later.

The Crimson trailed by three in the fourth quarter, but would not back down as Kennifer and Aisha Price put Harvard within one goal with 6:48 remaining. Kennifer and Price had back-to-back tallies at the 7:09 and 6:48 marks.

Indiana's defense stepped up in the final minutes, as the Hoosiers kept the Crimson scoreless in the last 6:48 and added a goal to put away Harvard.

Zdrojewski also added four steals in the game and Ariel Dukes made nine stops in goal.

Harvard moves to the tournament's seventh-place game, where they will face Bucknell at noon tomorrow. The Crimson is 3-0 against the Bison this season.
