BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Junior Monica Zdrojewski was named Collegiate Water Polo Association Player of the Week Tuesday after she notched five goals, dished two assists and grabbed three steals April 20 to lead the Harvard women's water polo team to a 16-12 win over Brown.
Harvard trailed 5-3 after the first period and 8-6 at halftime against Brown, but would put up seven unanswered goals in the third frame, including several from Zdrojewski, to pull away for the victory. The five scores gives Zdrojewski 50 on the year, while her three takeaways puts her at 41 steals for the season.
Zdrojewski shared this week's CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week award with Brown's Kate Woods.
