HANOVER, N.H.- Despite taking the third set to extra points, the Harvard women's volleyball team (4-13, 2-6 Ivy League) was swept by Dartmouth tonight, Oct. 25, at the Leede Arena. The Crimson fell to the Big Green by set scores of 22-25, 19-25 and 30-32.
Mindie Mabry recorded her second double-double of the season, leading the Crimson with 14 kills and 15 digs. The junior outside hitter recorded a team-best .379 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jaimie Rao registered her fifth match this season with double-digit kills, totaling 11 on the night. Rao posted two errors to hit at a .375 clip behind Mabry. Grace Roberts Burbank, Katie Vorhies and Ashley Wang each tallied five kills to help the Crimson's offense efforts. First-year Ashley Wang recorded a season-high 25 assists and three service aces, while sophomore Bella Almanza dished out nine.
Defensively, Mabry paced the backcourt with 15 digs, while Sandra Zeng and Roberts Burbank each added eight.
The Crimson return home to the Malkin Athletic Center next weekend, Nov. 1-2, to take on Brown and Yale.
