Women’s Volleyball Edged by San Diego

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – On day two of the Thunderdome Classic hosted by UC Santa Barbara, the Harvard women's volleyball team (2-3, 0-0 Ivy) dropped a 3-0 decision to San Diego in today's afternoon contest. The Crimson fell by set scores of 14-25, 16-25 and 15-25.

Senior co-captain Evelyn Gray racked up a team-high seven kills, while junior Mindie Mabry added six and senior Sope Adeleye tallied seven. First-year Ashley Wang and sophomore Bella Almanza split court time directing the Crimson attack, dishing out 13 and 12 assists, respectively.

Junior Sandra Zeng led the Crimson in the back court with 11 digs, while Almanza and Mabry each added four. For the second-consecutive night, Adeleye led the charge at the net, registering a team-high seven blocks. The Crimson defense kept pace with the Toreros, outblocking San Diego seven to six.
