  • Women’s Volleyball Falls in Five to Dartmouth

    HANOVER, N.H. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (5-5, 0-1 Ivy) saw its four-match winning streak snapped tonight by Dartmouth (5-6, 1-0 Ivy) in its opening contest of Ivy League play. The five-set, closely contested loss came by set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-21, 17-25 and 15-17.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (5-4) is set to kick off Ivy League action this Friday, Sept. 21 at Dartmouth after competing in three non-conference tournaments to start the season. The Crimson and Big Green are slated for a 7 p.m. match up in Hanover, N.H. with the contest broadcast on ESPN+.
  • Women’s Volleyball Tops UMass Lowell 3-1, Named New England Challenge Champions

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (5-4) picked up its fourth straight win tonight with a 3-1 victory over UMass Lowell (1-11) at the Malkin Athletic Center. Due to Harvard’s Thursday start of the New England Challenge, the Crimson can now claim the championship title for the second consecutive year having defeated all three participating teams. Harvard’s victory came by set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 18-25 and 25-16.
  • Women’s Volleyball Downs Northeastern, 3-1

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (4-4) picked up its third-straight win tonight in four sets at Northeastern (5-6). The victory came by set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-23 as the Crimson takes a 2-0 mark in the 2018 New England Challenge with one match remaining.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kicking off its home slate and the New England Challenge tonight, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (3-4) handed Boston College (9-1) its first loss of the season in a five-set showdown. The Crimson defeated the Eagles by set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 22-25 and 15-11. Harvard moved to 3-4 overall, while Boston College dropped to 9-1 on the first day of the New England Challenge.

(Gil Talbot).  FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team (2-4) wrapped up the Fairfield Invitational today, Sept. 8, splitting its two final contests. First falling to Michigan State (8-1) in three sets earlier this morning, the Crimson bounced back with a 3-1 victory over tournament host Fairfield (1-7) this afternoon. Following the match, senior co-captain Christina Cornelius was selected as a member of the All-Tournament team after accumulating 19 kills and five blocks through three matches.

(Gil Talbot) FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Opening the Fairfield Invitational with its first victory of the 2018 season, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (1-3) defeated Central Connecticut State (2-6) in a five-set stunner today, Sept. 7 at Alumni Hall. The win came by set scores of 21-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23 and 15-12.
  • Women’s Volleyball Travels to Fairfield Invitational

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team will continue its 2018 campaign this weekend at the Fairfield Invitational in Fairfield, Conn., Sept. 7-8. Opening the Invitational on Friday, Sept. 7 against Central Connecticut State, Harvard will compete in a doubleheader on Saturday, Sept. 8 first facing Michigan State at 10 a.m. before taking on Fairfield at 3 p.m. After a tough start to the 2018 season, the Crimson will be in search of its first win of the year.

    YPSILANTI, Michigan- In its final match of the Michigan Invitational, the Harvard women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at Eastern Michigan by set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 16-25 and 20-25. The Crimson moves to 0-3 overall, while the Eagles improve to 5-2.

    ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Opening its season at the Michigan Invitational this weekend, the Harvard women's volleyball (0-2) team was edged, 3-2, by Cleveland State and faced a 3-0 setback against Michigan in its opening doubleheader today, September 1st.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s volleyball team is set to open its 2018 campaign this weekend, Sept. 1-2 on the road at the Michigan Invitational. The Crimson will face a doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 1, first challenging Cleveland State at 2 p.m. before taking on Michigan at 7 p.m. Closing out the invitational on Sept. 2, the Crimson battle Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m.

  • Women’s Volleyball Picked Third in Ivy League Preseason Poll

    PRINCETON, N.J. – After finishing tied for third in conference action last season, the Harvard women’s volleyball team has been selected third in the Ivy League’s inaugural preseason media poll for the 2018 season, as announced today by the conference. Harvard finished the 2017 season with a 13-10 overall record, tallying an 8-6 league mark.

  • Women’s Volleyball Announces Class of 2022

    Harvard women’s volleyball head coach, Jennifer Weiss, announced the incoming Class of 2022 today. The five-member freshmen class consists of: Bella Almanza, Julia Beckmann, Kate Condra, Jaimie Rao and Grace Varsames. The incoming freshmen will join 13 returning letterwinners, including senior co-captain and one of the Crimson’s leading scorers, Christina Cornelius. The Class of 2022 hails from four states and one Canadian province.
  • Women’s Volleyball Unveils 2018 Schedule

    Harvard women’s volleyball head coach, Jen Weiss, recently unveiled the Crimson’s 2018 schedule. The 2018 slate features competition against three programs that reached the NCAA Tournament last season, and the Crimson will once again host two of three New England Challenge matches. Harvard will play a total of nine contests at the Malkin Athletic Center beginning with Boston College on September 13. The squad will open the 2018 season at the Michigan Invitational, facing NCAA contenders Cleveland State and Michigan on September 1.
