WEST POINT, N.Y. – Harvard Women's Tennis wrapped up play at the ITA Northeast Regionals on Sunday after the doubles pair of Natasha Gonzalez and Rachel Lim fell to Columbia in the round of eight. The Crimson collected a number of impressive victories over the weekend at the Belkin Tennis Center on the campus of Army at West Point.
First-year Mihaela Marculescu and Gonzalez both picked up singles wins on Saturday, while the tandem of Lim/Gonzalez went 3-1 in doubles action.
- Mihaela Marculescu improves her fall record to 6-2 with her victory on Friday.
- Senior captain Natasha Gonzalez improved her fall record to 3-2.
- This was the first time Gonzalez and Lim played together this fall. The duo picked up three wins in their debut as partners.
- Gonzalez and Lim defeated Boston University's Alex Angyalosy and Eric Di Battista 8-6 to move into the quarterfinals.
The women's tennis team will have a week off before they host the Harvard Invitational on Nov. 1. Student-Athletes from Syracuse, Georgetown, Cornell and Boston University will travel to Cambridge to play at the Murr Tennis Center.
