Women’s Tennis Undefeated in Day One at Columbia Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Harvard women's tennis team started its fall season strong today, posting wins across the board at the Columbia Fall Invitational. The Crimson sent six student-athletes to compete in the eight-team tournament.

Senior Jenna Friedel picked up where she left off last season with a win over Milka Genkova of St. John's. First-years Mihaela Marculescu, Sophia Ho and Demi Snyder began their collegiate careers with victories in their perspective flights. Rachel Eason and Rachel Lim also picked up wins on the day.

All six players advanced to the semi-finals which will take place tomorrow starting at 9:00 a.m.

In doubles actions, the Crimson dominated winning in all three flights. Friedel/Lim won in flight A, Eason/Ho in flight B and Snyder/Marculescu picked up the win in flight C. The semi-final matches will also take place tomorrow.
