CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Crimson Women's Tennis team has announced six tournaments for their fall season, including two home tournaments to be held in Cambridge. The first half of the schedule will mainly serve as a tune-up for Ivy League play, which begins in the Spring.
Traci Green, The Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard Women's Tennis, and her squad will begin the 2019-20 season with the Columbia Fall Invite held in New York City on Sept. 13-15.
The Crimson then return to Cambridge to host the Harvard Fall Classic on Sept. 20-22 at the Beren Tennis Center. The event will feature players from eight teams in the Northeast, including Boston University, Boston College, Buffalo, University of Rhode Island, Brown and Dartmouth.
The ITA All-American Championships will be held in Tulsa, Okla., from Oct. 5-9 and will feature the top returning players from around the country.
Two weeks later, the ITA Northeast Regional Championships will take place on Oct. 17-22 in West Point, N.Y. This tournament will feature the top players in the region competing in a bracket-style tournament.
That same weekend, Brown University will host its own fall tournament on Oct. 19-20. Six players from Harvard are scheduled to attend the event.
The Crimson's final tune-up before the spring season will be Nov. 1-3, when they host the Harvard Invitational. The event will be held indoors at the Murr Center tennis courts and will feature players from Georgetown, Boston University, Syracuse and Cornell.
The women's tennis team is coming off a 17-7 season in which they finished second in the Ivy League.
