Rising senior Erica Oosterhout was named the team captain for the 2018-19 season (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis announces its team captain for the 2018-19 season. Rising senior Erica Oosterhout was voted by her teammates as the captain for the upcoming year.
"Erica has shown tremendous growth, on and off the court, and has been a standout performer for our program," says The Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard Women's Tennis Traci Green. "I know Erica and the rest of her teammates are eager to get to work and continue building for next season and making HWT the best it can be."
Oosterhout, a two-time unanimous All-Ivy first team selection, finished the 2017-18 season with a, team-leading, 21-5 singles record, including a 12-4 mark in first singles. Climbing as high as No. 40 in the Oracle/ITA rankings, the Tampa, Fla. native finished the year at No. 115. Additionally, Oosterhout paired with sophomore Natasha Gonzalez to lead the Crimson with a 16-6 doubles mark, including 4-1 against Ivy opponents.
