CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team concluded the Harvard Fall Classic, Sunday morning. The Crimson went 4-5 in singles and 2-2 in doubles against Boston College and Delaware.
Junior Erica Oosterhout won both her singles and doubles matches against Delaware. In singles, she defeated Brooke Pilkington in two sets, 6-1, 6-2. Oosterhout paired with sophomore Natasha Gonzalez to take doubles from the Blue Hen tandem of Pilkington and Sara Komer.
Gonzalez earned her, team-leading third, singles win of the season defeating Delaware's Draga Sabotic, 6-2, 6-0 while the Crimson was 2-2 in doubles against the Blue Hens. Freshmen Lia Kiam and Neha Gupta recorded the second doubles win following a 6-1 win over Sabotic and Arielle Shuren.
Freshman Anna Li picked up the lone singles victory for Harvard against Boston College. Li defeated the Eagles' Micayla Casella, 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore Lexi Milunovich partnered with Georgetown's Risa Nakagawa to defeat Boston College's Natasha Irani and Loren Haukova, 6-1.
- Sophomore Natasha Gonzalez improved to 3-0 in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Delaware.
- Junior Erica Oosterhout won both her singles and doubles and improved to 3-0 in singles.
- Freshman Anna Li earned the lone singles win over Boston College – 6-2, 6-1 win over Micayla Casella.
Harvard returns to the courts on Sept. 30 for the All-American Qualifier in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
