CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On the second day of the Harvard Fall Classic, the Harvard women's tennis team went 9-5 – 6-3 in singles and 3-2 in doubles Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Neha Gupta defeated Buffalo's Anna Savchenko in singles, 6-1, 6-2 to help the Crimson take singles from the Bulls. Junior Erica Oosterhout and sophomore Lexi Milunovich earned their second singles wins of the season against Air Force.
In doubles, Oosterhout paired with sophomore Natasha Gonzalez to edge out Barnickel and Fumagatti, 6-4. Milunovich partnered with freshman Anna Li to defeat the Falcons' Ashleigh Harvey and Meredith Jones, 6-3.
Senior Annika Ringblom led the way against Buffalo, claiming a two-set, 6-1, 7-6 win over Chantal Martinez-Blanco. Sophomore Jenna Friedel and freshman Neha Gupta each earned singles win over the Bulls.
- Oosterhout defeated Air Force Academy's TJ Fumagatti in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.
- Milunovich made quick of Air Force's Elizabeth Barnickel, 6-0, 6-2.
The Harvard Fall Classic concludes tomorrow morning at 11am at Beren Tennis Center.
