Three Women's Tennis Players Ranked Nationally

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The first women’s national singles and doubles rankings were announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Friday and three Crimson have obtained a national ranking.

Co-captains Holly Cao and Samantha Rosekrans have been ranked No. 40 in doubles, while Cao also earned a singles ranking of No. 56. The third player to garner a ranking, sophomore Hideko Tachibana, earned a singles ranking of No. 114.

Harvard began the fall season over the weekend at the 18th annual William and Mary Invitational. Cao, 3-1 in singles over the weekend, was the runner-up in Flight A, while Rosekrans finished third in Flight C, also playing to a 3-1 record in singles. Tachibana also competed in Flight A singles, earning a 2-1 record. In Flight A doubles, Cao and Rosekrans played to a 2-2 record.

The Crimson will next hit the courts on October 2 when they head to California to compete in the ITA/Riviera Women’s All-American Championships.
