Women's Swimming and Diving Hosts Cornell on Saturday at 10 a.m.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's swimming and diving program hosts Cornell on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. The dual meet will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.

Last Time Out
Harvard opened up the 2017-2018 campaign last week with a dominating performance at Columbia, winning nine of 11 events. The Crimson 200-yard medley team of Mei Lynn Colby, Ingrid Wall, Brittany Usinger and Jerrica Li led the way, claiming first place with a time of 1:42.52, three seconds off the Harvard record. In her first collegiate meet, freshman Kennidy Quist earned first place honors in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 5:01.30. 

2017 NCAA Championships
Harvard sent two members to the NCAA swimming and diving competition in 2017. Swimmer Mikaela Dahlke represented the swimmers in her first year, while Jing Leung went to nationals for the third-straight year. Dahlke posted a personal-best in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 48.78 to place 36th. Amongst divers, Leung came in 32nd, 1.4 points shy of breaking into the top 30.

All-Ivy Returners
Harvard returns 10 of 11 swimmers and divers that earned All-Ivy honors last winter. Meagan Popp (Jr., 200 IM, 100 breast, 200 breast), Brittany Usinger (Jr., 100 butterfly, 200, butterfly), Mikaela Dahlke (So., 100 free, 200 free) Mikaela Thompson (Jr., 1-meter diving) and Jing Leung (Sr., 3-meter diving) all return for the Crimson. Each member of Harvard's 200 and 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay also return.  

Academic Success
Harvard posted the eighth-highest GPA in 2016-2017 and was named a CSCAA Scholar All-America team with 11 members receiving Scholar All-America nods. To earn the honor, a student-athlete must earn a GPA of a 3.50 or above and achieve a 'B' cut as a swimmer or compete in the NCAA Championship.
