Placed second one the one-meter board (277.45) and third on the three-meter board (297.00) at HYP ... Second on the one-meter dive (288.30) and seventh on the three-meter dive (261.0) against Brown and Penn ... Placed fourth on the one-meter board at the Georgia Invitational ... Won the one-meter (261.08) and three-meter (310.88) against Cornell ... Won the one-meter dive (303.00) and finished thrid on the three-meter board (282.90) against Columbia. 

Sophomore 2016-17
First team All-Ivy League on the one-meter board … Reached the finals of the one- and three-meter events at NCAA Zones … Won the ‘B’ final of the three-meter dive at the Ivy League Championships … Placed third on the one-meter at H-Y-P … Placed third on both boards against Columbia … 11th on the one- meter and 13th on the three-meter at the Georgia Invite … Won the one-meter (298.55) and took second on the three-meter against Dartmouth and Cornell. 

Freshman 2015-16
Earned first team All-Ivy League after a meet record-setting dive in the 1-meter (314.20) at the Ivy League Championship Meet … Won the 1-meter (288.40) and placed third in the 3-meter (296.35) against Cornell and Dartmouth … Took ninth in the 1-meter (243.20) and 10th in the 3-meter (265.15) at the UGA Invitational … Placed second in the 1-meter (278.05) against Brown and Penn.

Mikaela Thompson has excelled at diving through her four years in high school. She came in 10th at Regionals in 2014 (1-meter), 18th at Zones in 2014 (1-meter), first (1-meter) and seventh (3-meter) at AAU Red White and Blue National Qualifier in 2015, before placing 17th at 2015 Regionals (3-meter). Year after year she proved her mettle, coming in first at States in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Out of the pool, Thompson is a member of the National Honor Society, and won Letters of Commendation in Honors Pre-Calculus (2013-2014), Modern World History (2012-2013), Novice French (2012-2013), and College Prep Physics (2011-2012). She enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, traveling, photography, skiing, and running.

"I choose Harvard because of the people," Thompson said. "After spending time with HWSD I knew that I wanted to come to Harvard because I felt like I was coming home."
