CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Kate Mills, a senior on the women's swimming & diving team, has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team, earning a spot on the second team.
Mills Tabbed to Capital One Academic All-District Team
A native of Sacramento, Calif., Mills was recently awarded an NCAA postgraduate scholarship, joining 58 senior winter student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions earning the award. A three-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-Academic selection and an Academic All-Ivy League choice this winter, Mills qualified for the NCAA Championships three times during her career.
Mills earned All-Ivy League honors 12 times, including four all-conference second team accolades as a junior. During her senior season, she was named to the All-Ivy first team after winning the 400-yard individual medley and helping the Crimson claim the 800 free relay. A history of art & architecture concentrator, Mills also collected second team All-Ivy honors in the 200 butterfly and 400 free relay.
At the conclusion of the 2011 Ivy League Championships, Mills received the Career High-Point Swimmer Award at the Ivy Championships and graduates with three individual and two relay school records.
