NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Harvard women's squash team will maintain its number one national ranking after defeating a pair of top-10, Ivy League opponents this weekend. The Crimson dismantled the seventh-ranked Columbia Lions, 9-0, on Sunday at the SL Green StreetSquash Center to complete the weekend sweep. Harvard moves to 4-0 on the year and 3-0 in Ivy League play.
Junior Sabrina Sobhy was victorious over Columbia's second-team All-America selection Tanvi Khanna. The Sea Cliff, N.Y., product earned the win at slot number one, 11-8, 11-3, 11-7. The rest of the ladder followed suit. Three Crimson players were one point shy of recording shutout games in their respective matches. Senior Sue Ann Yong, junior Kayley Leonard, sophomore Gina Kennedy each won a game 11-1.
