CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Laura Gemmell of the Harvard women's squash team is among six athletes from across the country to be featured in the June 7 edition of Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd.”

Gemmell, who hails from Toronto, Ont., helped the Crimson to an 11-0 record and the College Squash Association (CSA) national team championship last season.  Gemmell, who also took home the CSA individual crown, boasted a 16-0 overall mark during her rookie season.  A CSA All-American, Gemmell was honored as the Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Year, as she went 11-0 at the No. 1 position.

Gemmell, who did not lose a game during the dual season, went 3-0 at the CSA individual national championship and was recently selected to play for Team Canada at the upcoming World University Championships in Melbourne, Australia in July.
