CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In the midst of prolific individual seasons, while helping lead the team to a 10-2 record (3-0 Ivy League), first-year forwards Angela Caloia and Gabby DelPico of the Harvard women's soccer team have been named to TopDrawerSoccer's countdown of the top-100 freshmen in the country.
Caloia checks in at No. 8 on the list, which leads the Ivy League. Caloia paces the conference with 18 points this season, and ranks second nationally with 0.83 assists per game. She already ranks sixth in assists in a single season at Harvard with 10, while scoring four goals. Caloia has tallied three weekly awards from the Ivy League this season – one player of the week and two rookie of the week honors.
DelPico sits at No. 30, giving Harvard a co-league-best two players on the countdown. DelPico has tallied a pair of Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors this season, while scoring a team-leading six goals this season, which is second-most in the conference this season. DelPico joins three of her teammates, including Caloia, in the top-seven conference-wide in points per game.
Harvard looks to remain unbeaten in Ivy League play this weekend against Brown, with the action set to air on ESPN+.
