Women’s Soccer Announces Nine Member Class of 2022

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Adding one of the top-ranked recruiting classes in the country to a talented program, Harvard women's soccer has announced its nine member class of 2022: Jordan Di Verniero, Sophie Hirst, Taylor Nielsen, Courtney Rabb, Elizabeth Saoud, Lara Schenk, Samantha Schmitz, Trinity Thomas and Jillian Wachira.

"We are very excited to welcome the class of 2022 to our women's soccer program," said Chris Hamblin, the Branca Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Soccer. "The class is comprised of wonderful young women, who through their work in the classroom and experience on the field, personify what it means to be a student-athlete at Harvard.

The group spans seven states as well as Germany, and was ranked as the 14th best class in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. They join a squad that has won six of the last 10 Ivy League titles, including three of the past five.

"The incoming class will impact us in every position on the field," continued Hamblin. "We are looking forward to blending the ability and character of our freshman with our returning players and continuing to build upon the strong soccer culture at Harvard."
