The freshman scored two goals in a win over Dartmouth (Gil Talbot).
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ancient Eight's top goal scorer over the past week, Harvard women's soccer forward Murphy Agnew has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the span of Oct. 23-29. The award is her second of the season, after also earning the honor Sept. 19.
Agnew netted a career-best two scores in a 2-1 victory over Dartmouth in double overtime. The New Hope, Pennsylvania native kicked off the scoring in the 30th minute after a left-footed shot from 15 yards after a great feed from junior Leah Mohammadi. Harvard then walked off with the win after Agnew connected with Mohammadi and classmate Maria DiMartinis for a 20-yard golden goal to the side netting.
Agnew is tied for the team lead with four goals this season, while also dishing five assists. Harvard closes the season Saturday at Columbia on the Ivy League Network.
