KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Putting in the work in the classroom as well as on the field, Harvard men's & women's soccer were named recipients of the 2016-17 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards. Harvard was one of 196 schools throughout the NCAA that had both teams recognized.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full school year.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
On the pitch, Harvard's two programs combined for 20 wins a year ago, with the women's team earning its third Ivy title in four years. Both teams travel to Cornell this weekend for 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. kickoffs on the Ivy League Network.
