PRINCETON, N.J. – Following a torrid week on the field, freshman Murphy Agnew has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Agnew played a significant role in all three Harvard contests Sept. 13-17, recording one goal and three assists for five points – a mark that led the Ivy League over the past week. The attacker kicked off the week with a two-assist performance against Quinnipiac, and continued with her second-career goal at Villanova. Agnew capped the weekend with a third assist against Seton Hall, setting up classmate Linda Liedel for her first-career score.
The weekly award is the first of the year for the Crimson, which enters Ivy play with a 6-3 non-conference record. Harvard hosts Penn on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ohiri Field, and the game will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
