PRINCETON, N.J. – Helping the Harvard women's soccer team to its 11th Ivy League title and fourth over the last six years, freshman forward Margaret "Midge" Purce has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
This marks the fifth-straight week that Harvard has earned a nod from the league. Purce earns her second weekly honor after being named both Player and Rookie of the Week Oct. 14.
Purce scored a goal and tallied an assist in the win over Dartmouth Saturday. The rookie paces the Crimson 26 points on 11 goals and four assists. Senior captain Peyton Johnson was named to the weekly honor roll after registering the game winner against the Big Green.
Harvard (11-3-2, 6-0) wraps up the season at Columbia Saturday, Nov. 9. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
