Women’s Rugby Readies for Match with Ivy Rival Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Harvard women's rugby team returns to Cambridge for its home opener showdown with Ivy League rival Dartmouth on Saturday, Sept. 21. The matchup is set to kick off at 11 a.m. and be broadcast on ESPN+.

What to Know:

  • The Crimson started the season 1-1 with a statement win week one, defeating Quinnipiac 57-10.
  • First-Year Brogan Mior leads the team in points with a total of 22.
  • Sophomore Sofie Fella, junior Arianna Romero and first-year Brogan Mior lead the Crimson with two tries each on the season.
  • This matchup between the Crimson and Big Green will be a rematch of last year's Ivy 7s and 15s championships which Harvard won and the NIRA national championship game.

At The Helm
Mel Denham returns for her third season as the head coach of the Crimson. She is coming off a school best 19-5 record across 15s and 7s with an Ivy tournament title, a bronze metal finish at USA Rugby 7s nationals and an appearance in the NIRA national championship game.
