CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard wrestling sophomore Lukus Stricker has been named Honorable Mention All-Ivy League in a vote among the league's head coaches. The all-conference recognition is the first of the 133-pounder's career.
Hailing from Rootstown, Ohio, Stricker tallied 16 victories on the season, including a team-best five in EIWA action, three of which came against Ivy competition. Stricker also had a team-high-tying two pins. The sophomore competed in every event in 2018-19, and tallied 22 dual-match team points, the second-highest total among the 10 weight classes.
Stricker ended the campaign by winning four of his last five matches and was 6-2 in his final eight contests.
It is the second straight season in which Harvard has had a 133-pounder receive all-league honors. A year ago, Ryan Friedman was an honorable mention choice as a junior.
