PHILADELPHIA – Harvard Wrestling completed its brief two-match road trip with a 35-6 loss at Penn. The Crimson received points from Lukus Stricker at 133 pounds and Leo Tarantino at 174 in its final regular-season road date of the 2018-19 campaign.

Similar to the match at Princeton earlier in the day, Stricker was the first Crimson wrestler to get on the scoreboard. The sophomore won in dramatic fashion, winning in sudden victory, 5-3, over Doug Zapf. The victory pulled Harvard (1-7; 1-5 EIWA) to within 15 points as it trailed the Quakers, 18-3 overall.

Penn (3-5; 2-0 EIWA) went on to claim the next four bouts before Tarantino ended the night with a 3-2 decision over Jake Hendricks to provide the final margin.

Harvard Highlights

  • Stricker went 2-0 on the day after recording a pin at Princeton and his sudden-victory decision at Penn.
  • Tarantino snapped a personal three-match losing streak and improved his dual record to 4-4.
