CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The David G. Bunning '88 Head Coach of Harvard Wrestling Jay Weiss welcomes six incoming freshmen for the upcoming 2017-18 season: Pierce Bausano, Philip Conigliaro, Bobby Groves, Joshua Kim, Tucker Ribman and Leo Tarantino

"We are very excited to have these student-athletes join our wrestling family in September," says Weiss. "I enjoyed the recruiting process with each one of these guys as it was clear they have the ability, and character to be great on and off the wrestling mat. They will definitely make a big impact."

The incoming freshmen will join a core group of upperclassmen, including four returners who placed at the EIWA Championships in 2018: Hunter Ladnier (149), A.J. Jaffe (141), Nolan Hellickson (125), and Brock Wilson (157).

Bobby Groves | 141 | Phoenix, Ariz. | Chandler High School
Four-time Arizona state wrestling champion … Recorded a 195-6 career record between 2015-2018 … Recognized for three seasons as first team All-Arizona (2015, 2017, 2018) and Tempe all-city (2015-17) … Nominated for Arizona Athlete of the Year by AZ Central Sports (2018) … Recognized for most wins in team history at McClintock High School … Scholar through the National Hispanic Recognition Program (2017-18) … Member of the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club … Brother, Marco, is a three-time Arizona state wrestling champion.

Lettered all four years in varsity wrestling … California state wrestling champion (2018) … Placed second at the 2017 California state wrestling championships and third in the 2016 state championships … 2018 Master MVP … Three-time Freakshow National Champion … Finished high school ranked 18th in the U.S. at 160 pounds … Placed fifth at the Fargo Jr. National Freestyle Championships … Finished second at the 2017 Super 32 … Sixth at the 2017 Walsh Jesuit Ironman Tournament.

Tucker Ribman | 149 | Dallas, Tex. | St. Mark's School of Texas
