Wrestling Wins Seven Matches to Earn a 21-12 Win over Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Harvard wrestling team won seven matches to pick up a 21-12 win over EIWA opponent Army Saturday afternoon.
Sophomores Steven Keith and Shay Warren picked up the first two wins on the afternoon at 125 and 133 pounds, respectively. Keith defeated David White, 4-2, in sudden victory, while Warren earned a 4-1 win over Jordan Thome, who leads the Black Knights in wins.
The Black Knights won three of the next four matches to score its only points of the dual. Harvard's lone win in the middle weights was No. 9 Walter Peppelman's 7-5 win over Jimmy Rafferty at 157 pounds. Peppelman, who is a sophomore, leads the team with 18 wins on the season.
Freshman Ian Roy picked up a 6-3 win over Jake Vetter at 174 pounds, while classmate Cameron Croy earned picked up a 7-4 decision over Derek Stanley at 184. At 197 pounds, junior Bryan Panzano earned a 4-3 decision over Orion Ross, while senior co-captain Andrew Knapp won in sudden victory over Jacob Bohn, 4-2.
Harvard continues its road trip at No. 7 Army Sunday. The first match is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
