  • Women’s Lacrosse an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, Six Individuals Recognized

    Coming off an Ivy League Tournament bid, six members of the 2017 Harvard women’s lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, and the team was also named to the IWCLA Academic Honor Squad as a whole. Recent graduates Marina Burke ‘17, Emma Ford ‘17 and Megan Hennessey ’17 earned their place on the Academic Honor Roll, along with juniors Julia Glynn, Eliza Guild and Nekele McCall.

Garnering spots on the first team were seniors Marisa Romeo and Marina Burke. Maeve McMahon earned a second team selection, while Emma Ford, Julia Glynn and Megan Hennessey all received honorable mention nods.

    The Harvard women’s lacrosse team (8-7, 4-3 Ivy) will meet a familiar foe as it heads into its fourth-straight Ivy League Tournament appearance. The Crimson, the four-seed in the tournament, is set to meet No. 11 Cornell (11-4, 6-1 Ivy), who earned the top seed and the right to host the event after winning the goal-differential tiebreaker between Penn, Princeton and itself. Harvard and Cornell met last Saturday at Schoellkopf Field with the Big Red taking a 13-6 decision.

    A total of nine Harvard student-athletes scored in the midweek clash against UMass Lowell, as the Harvard women's lacrosse team crushed the Riverhawks, 17-6, Tuesday at Harvard Stadium. Three members of the Crimson scored three times: Marisa Romeo, Hannah Keating and Keeley MacAfee. For Keating, the hat trick was the first of her career.

    The Harvard University women’s lacrosse team has partnered with Vs. Cancer this season to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer. The fundraiser lasted throughout the season, but the team celebrated their efforts on Saturday, March 24 where they won against Columbia 10-8.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Races Past Dartmouth, 17-12

    The Harvard women’s lacrosse team remained unbeaten in the Ivy League, downing Dartmouth (5-4, 0-3 Ivy) on the road, 17-12, Sunday in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Crimson led by as many as 10 during the game and is now 3-0 in the Ancient Eight and 6-4 overall.
