Mark Hanson serves as the goaltender coach for the Harvard women's hockey team. Hanson brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Crimson bench, including serving as the goalie coach at Stoughton High School in Massachusetts, and for the Massachusetts Spitfires. Hanson is also a director at Stop It Goaltending in Foxboro, Mass.
Hanson has mentored a series of top goaltenders at Harvard, most recently Emerance Maschmeyer '16. Maschmeyer broke the Crimson record for career saves, while finishing second in both goals-against average and save percentage. A rising star on the international level, Hanson has helped to mentor Maschmeyer into one of the world's top netminders.
