BOSTON – The No. 10/10 Harvard women's hockey team (12-9-1, 11-4-1 ECAC Hockey) fell to No. 3/2 Northeastern (24-3-1, 20-2-0 Hockey East) by a score of 3-1 in the 2020 Beanpot Semifinal. The Huskies got out to a 2-0 start before the Crimson struck back to cut the deficit in half. An empty net score for Northeastern in the final minute of play secured the 3-1 win and berth to the Beanpot title game.

Becky Dutton put on a stellar performance between the pipes, registering 35 saves and just two goals allowed. Kat Hughes and Maryna Macdonald led the offense with four shots on target each while Macdonald blocked three shots in the opposite direction.

Northeastern struck first at 15:09 of the opening frame on a shot from the slot. The Huskies doubled their score less than four minutes into the second on a quick shot from the top of the right circle. At 7:57 of the middle frame, Shannon Hollands picked up the puck just past the center line and fired a score from the left faceoff dot to cut the Huskies' lead in half. The scoreboard was quiet until 19:48 of the third when the Huskies notched an empty net score to seal the game 3-1.
