ALBANY, N.Y. – Anne Bloomer has been named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference today (Nov. 11). This is the second consecutive week Harvard has earned the honor and is the first of Bloomer's career.
Over the weekend, the sophomore played an instrumental role in the Crimson's sweep of No. 7/7 Princeton and Quinnipiac. On Friday, Bloomer tallied a pair of goals along with an assist for a three-point outing in Harvard's 6-2 win over the number seven team in the nation. Then on Saturday, Bloomer came in clutch, scoring the game-winning overtime goal to lift the Crimson over Quinnipiac 3-2, preserving the undefeated record and securing a victory over the Bobcats for the first time since 2015.
After her performance this weekend, Bloomer now ranks first in the nation in goals per game, averaging 1.20 scores per game.
Harvard returns on Tuesday, Nov. 19 against Boston University.
