  • Dominique Petrie Named to USA Hockey Winter Training Camp Roster

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Harvard women’s hockey sophomore Dominique Petrie has been named to USA Hockey’s Winter Training Camp roster as announced by the organization this week. Petrie is one of 46 players invited to the camp that will take place Dec. 9-13 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. From the pool of players, 23 will be selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team that will face Canada in the first two games of the 2019-20 Rivalry Series on Dec. 14 and 17 in Hartford, Conn. And Moncton, New Brunswick respectively.
  • No. 9/9 Women’s Hockey to Host Community Day Versus New Hampshire

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (5-1-0, 5-0-0 ECAC Hockey) is set to host Community Day this Saturday, Nov. 23, against New Hampshire (6-7-2, 5-6-1 Hockey East). Game time is set for 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Fans are invited to stay after the game to Skate with the Crimson and get autographs from the players. Additionally, all kids will receive FREE admission and they are encouraged to wear their youth hockey jerseys. Residents of Allston, Cambridge and Brighton will also be able to purchase discounted $5 tickets.
  • No. 9/9 Women’s Hockey Handed First Loss at Boston University

    BOSTON – The Harvard women’s hockey team (5-1-0, 5-0-0 ECAC Hockey) incurred its first setback this season with a 6-2 loss at Boston University (8-4-1, 3-4-1 Hockey East) on Tuesday night. The Crimson fell victim to the Terriers’ special teams that accounted for five of six scores.
  • No. 9/9 Women’s Hockey Set for Beanpot Rematch at Boston University

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 9/10 Harvard women’s hockey team (5-0-0, 5-0-0 ECAC Hockey) is set for a Beanpot Championship rematch this Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Boston University (7-4-1, 3-4-1 Hockey East). The Crimson has a bone to pick after watching the Terriers take the Beanpot title in a 3-2 overtime win last February while Boston University looks to take back its spot in the top-10 rankings after slipping out last week. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
  • Anne Bloomer Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week

    ALBANY, N.Y. – Anne Bloomer has been named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference today (Nov. 11). This is the second consecutive week Harvard has earned the honor and is the first of Bloomer’s career.
  • Women’s Hockey Edges Quinnipiac 3-2 in Overtime

    HAMDEN, Conn. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (5-0-0, 5-0-0 ECAC Hockey) preserved its spotless record with a 3-2 overtime win at Quinnipiac (4-5-2, 0-4-1 ECAC Hockey) on Saturday afternoon. The win marks the Crimson’s best start to a season in over a decade.
  • Women’s Hockey Upsets No. 7/7 Princeton, 6-2

    PRINCETON, N.J. – The Harvard women’s hockey team improved its overall and conference record to 4-0-0 with an upset win over No. 7/7 Princeton (4-2-1, 2-2-0 ECAC Hockey) on Friday night at Hobey Baker Memorial Rink. Nine different players got on the scoresheet, five being multi-point outings, while Lindsay Reed made 40 saves in net.
  • Women’s Hockey Continues Conference Play at No. 7/7 Princeton, Quinnipiac

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (3-0-0, 3-0-0 ECAC Hockey) will look to maintain its top spot in the ECAC Hockey standings with contests at No. 7/7 Princeton (4-1-0, 2-1-0 ECAC Hockey) and Quinnipiac (4-4-1, 0-3-0 ECAC Hockey) this weekend. Additionally, Harvard is one of three remaining teams in the nation that has not incurred a loss this season.
  • Becca Gilmore Tabbed ECAC Hockey Player of the Week

    ALBANY, N.Y. – Becca Gilmore has been tabbed ECAC Hockey’s Player of the week after a four-point weekend that contributed to Harvard’s sweep of Brown and Yale. This is Harvard’s first weekly honor this season and Gilmore’s third weekly honor of her career.
  • Glover, Hyland Notch First Career Scores as Harvard Downs Yale 5-2

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Courtney Hyland and Kate Glover both cashed in for their first career scores as the Harvard women’s hockey team (3-0-0, 3-0-0 ECAC Hockey) downed Yale (3-1-0, 1-1-0 ECAC Hockey), 5-2, to remain undefeated and atop the ECAC Hockey standings. In its first three games, the Crimson has outscored its opponents 16-7.
  • Women’s Hockey Upends Brown 4-1

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (2-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC Hockey) put up a blistering 59 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over Brown (0-3-0, 0-1-0 ECAC Hockey) on Friday afternoon at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Anne Bloomer led the offense with two goals while nine other players put tallies on the scoresheet.
  • Women’s Hockey Opens Bright-Landry Against Brown, Yale

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (1-0-0, 1-0-0 ECAC Hockey) will officially open the Bright-Landry Hockey Center this weekend with contests against Brown and Yale. The Crimson will first welcome the Bears on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m., a matchup that will air on both ESPN+ and NESN. Then, on Saturday, Harvard will take on the Bulldogs at 3 p.m. Fans can watch game two on ESPN+.
  • Women’s Hockey Posts Career Night in 7-4 Win at Dartmouth

    HANOVER, N.H. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (1-0-0, 1-0-0 ECAC Hockey) thrashed Dartmouth (0-1-0, 0-1-0 ECAC Hockey) 7-4 in the season opener on Friday night in Hanover. In addition to Katie Tresca’s first career goal and Kristin Della Rovere’s hat trick, nine other career highs were broken or tied in the contest.
  • Women’s Hockey Opens 2019-20 Campaign at Dartmouth

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team (0-0-0, 0-0-0 ECAC Hockey) is set to open the 2019-20 campaign this Friday at Dartmouth (0-0-0, 0-0-0 ECAC Hockey). In addition to the matchup being the season debut, it will also ignite the ECAC Hockey and Ivy League seasons. Harvard is primed for success this year, fielding a 25 player roster that includes 19 returning players and standout netminder Lindsay Reed.
  • Five Women’s Ice Hockey Alumni Named to Pro Rosters

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Five former Harvard women’s ice hockey players have been named to pro rosters for the 2019-20 season. Four players, Jillian Dempsey ‘13, Lexie Laing ‘19, Briana Mastel ‘17 and Mary Parker ‘15 will suit up for the Boston Pride of the NWHL. Kaitlin Tse ’19 has signed with the Shenzen KRS Vanke Rays, a team based in China, that competes in the Women’s Hockey League in Russia.
  • Women’s Hockey Selected Fifth in ECAC Hockey Preseason Coaches’ Poll

    ALBANY, N.Y. – The Harvard women’s hockey team has been selected fifth in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as announced by the league today (Sept. 10). The Crimson garnered 75 points, close behind fourth ranked Colgate. Perennial powerhouses Clarkson, Princeton and Cornell were voted to be the top three finishers respectively.

  • Kaitlin Tse ’19 Signs Pro Deal with Shenzhen KRS Vanke Rays

    SHENZHEN, China – Recent Harvard women’s hockey graduate, Kaitlin Tse, has agreed to terms with the Shenzhen KRS Vanke Rays of the Russian Women’s Hockey League. The Vanke Rays joined the Russian women’s hockey leave following the dissolution of the CWHL last May.

  • Petrie, Team USA Post 2-1 Record against Canada in U-22 Series

    LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Under-22 Series, a three-game tournament held annually between Canada and the United States, concluded Aug. 17 at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y. Team USA won the series by defeating Canada in two out of three games. The Crimson’s own Dominique Petrie was one of the 22 collegiate players named to the roster. The rising sophomore was invited to the 2019 USA Hockey Women’s National Festival in early August before being named to the U-22 Select Team roster. Petrie captained the U-18 Select Team in 2018 at the U-18 Series in Calgary.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Seven members of the Harvard women’s ice hockey team have been invited to attend summer development camps for their respective national teams. Lily Farden, Becca Gilmore, Kat Hughes, Dominique Petrie, and Lindsay Reed were all selected for USA Hockey’s 2019 Women’s National Festival while Emma Buckles and Kristin Della Rovere were invited to Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Development Team Selection Camp.

    This summer I’ve been working for Harvard Student Agencies as the Operations Manager for Cleaners and Dorm Essentials. I am responsible for marketing, logistics, operations, and business development for our dry-cleaning storefront and dorm essentials online store. I help manage 1.4 million dollars in revenue. HSA is a student run business and, as such, recruits from Harvard’s student population. I learned about this position on a bus ride back from a hockey game when they sent out their notice that there were 24 hours left to apply.

    I ran in the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in San Diego (where I live), which takes you around Downtown San Diego including Balboa Park and the Gaslamp District.  I decided to do it because I am always looking to challenge myself physically and mentally, and I figured this would be a great way to do so.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2019-20 Harvard women’s ice hockey schedule has been unveiled by The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Ice Hockey, Katey Stone. The slate features 14 home games, including an exhibition contest, 14 away games and three neutral site contests, which includes the annual Beanpot Tournament, hosted in 2020 by Boston University.
