Women’s Hockey Primed to Test Road Skills in North Country

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's hockey team (5-10-2, 4-7-1 ECAC Hockey) is set to test its road skills in North Country this coming weekend. The Crimson will charge into Cheel Arena on Friday night for a 6 p.m. tilt with the reigning national champion and No. 5/5 Golden Knights before making the short trip to St. Lawrence for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.

What to Know

  • Lexie Laing and Kristin Della Rovere lead the team with 11 points this season.
  • Lindsay Reed ranks No. 1 in the conference in save percentage and No. 3 in goals against average. The first-year was recently named to the NCAA's mid-season watch list for goalie of the year and rookie of the year.
  • Harvard beat then No. 8/8 St. Lawrence at Appleton Arena last season, the Crimson's first victory over a ranked opponent since the 2015-16 season.
  • The Crimson dropped the season series to Clarkson by just two goal margins each game. Both final scores were 3-1. 

Next Up
The Crimson will return home next weekend to face Brown and Yale for the first time this season. The weekend series will serve as a primer for the opening round of the 2019 Beanpot Tournament, set to begin on Feb. 5 at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
