ALBANY, N.Y. – Freshman Becca Gilmore was tabbed ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today (Jan. 16). Against two top-10 opponents this weekend, Gilmore recorded back-to-back multi-point outings and totaled five points in two games. She now leads the Crimson with six multi-point efforts, 12 assists and 17 points in 16 games this season. The rookie has made her way to the scoresheet in three of the last four games.
The Wayland, Mass. native ranks 28th among all NCAA players, 17th in the ECAC, in points per game and seventh among NCAA freshmen, second among ECAC freshmen, in the same category.
The weekly honor is the first of Gilmore's career and second for Harvard this season after classmate Brooke Jovanovich earned the same award in November.
Harvard returns to the ice tonight to take on the No. 2/3 Boston College Eagles, before returning home this weekend to host No. 2/2 Clarkson and No. 10/RV St. Lawrence.
