Reber ’15 Named American Family Insurance ALL-USA Coach of the Year

Reber finished her first season as the head coach at Edina (Anthony Souffle, Star Tribune).

EDINA, Minn. – Two years removed from a standout career at Harvard, former team captain Sami Reber '15 was named the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Coach of the Year for her work as the head coach at Edina High School in Minnesota.

In her first year behind the bench, Reber steered Edina to a 28-1-1 record and a Minnesota Class AA state championship with a 4-0 victory in the finals. Prior to becoming the head coach at her alma mater, Reber spent one season as an assistant coach at Minnesota Duluth.

Reber ranks in the top-five in Harvard history in games played (134), amassing 108 points on 26 goals and 82 assists, the latter of which is 10th-best in program history. She helped the Crimson earn championships in both ECAC Hockey and the Ivy League, and advanced to the Frozen Four and in 2015.
