Larcom Earns ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week Honors

ALBANY, N.Y. – Proving difficult to beat in her first-career appearance for the Crimson, Harvard women's hockey netminder Beth Larcom has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week for Nov. 28-Dec. 4.

A freshman, Larcom stopped 41 shots in her Harvard debut at No. 7/7 Colgate, earning a tie in a 3-3 decision in overtime. The 41 stops are the most for a Crimson netminder in her Harvard debut in program history. Hailing from Middletown, Rhode Island, Larcom made 10 saves in both the third period and overtime.

The tie was the first of the season for the Crimson, which is off until a trip to Quinnipiac and Princeton Jan. 6-7.
