The netminder made 28 saves in Harvard's season-opener (Elan Kawesch).

ALBANY, N.Y. – Proving tough to beat in the opening contest of the season, senior goaltender Brianna Laing has been named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 17-23.

Laing stopped 28 of 29 Dartmouth shots in a 5-1 victory for the Crimson on Sunday afternoon at Thompson Arena. The 28 saves were Laing's most since Oct. 31, 2015 against St. Lawrence, and the Marblehead, Massachusetts native improved her career record to 19-1-1 with the victory. Laing currently ranks second in the country with a .966 save percentage.

Harvard women's hockey travels to Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend for a pair of 3 p.m. clashes Oct. 28-29.
