Women’s Hockey to Play Boston College at Fenway Park

The game will take place as part of the Frozen Fenway series (Billie Weiss & Gil Talbot).

BOSTON – As part of a quartet of changes to its 2016-17 schedule, Harvard women's hockey will face off with Boston College on Jan. 10, 2017 at Fenway Park as part of the Frozen Fenway slate of games.

The game will be part of a broader celebration of girls' and women's hockey, and proceeds from the event will be donated to the Denna Laing Fund. To purchase tickets and for additional schedule updates, visit redsox.com/frozenfenway.

Both teams have plans to conduct a pregame skate at Fenway Park on Monday, Jan. 9, in preparation for Tuesday's game.

"Harvard women's hockey is thrilled to be a part of such a special event at Fenway Park," said Katey Stone, The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Hockey. "It will be a great day and night of hockey in support of the Denna Laing Fund.  We encourage everyone to participate in honor of Denna and women's hockey."

Harvard and Boston College's midweek clash at Fenway will sandwich a pair of weekend doubleheaders at the park. Following a high school game and a clinic Jan. 10, the Crimson and Eagles will take the ice for an 8 p.m. puck drop under the lights.

To accommodate the shift in the schedule, Harvard's games with Dartmouth and New Hampshire have also switched days. Previously scheduled to play New Hampshire on Jan. 10, Harvard will now travel to Durham for a Nov. 15 bout. Harvard also swapped dates with Dartmouth, and will travel to Hanover to open the season Oct. 23 before welcoming the Big Green Jan. 17.
