CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ahead of one of the largest and most prominent running events in the world, the Harvard women's hockey coaching staff partnered with Viga Italian Eatery to make sandwiches for the many volunteers at the 120th running of the Boston Marathon.

An event that draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to go with more than 30,000 athletes in the race itself, the event has a need for a plethora of volunteers, and the Harvard women's hockey staff was eager to help the group by making sandwiches for the dedicated individuals Sunday night.

"It is an honor to play a small part in Boston Strong," said Katey Stone, the Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Hockey. "We will see you again next year!"

One of many Crimson programs involved in the community, this was the second year that Harvard women's hockey participated in the effort.
